Lions are interesting and fun to draw
We learned that the lion is one of the five big cats. Lions live for 10–14 years in the wild, while in captivity they can live longer than 20 years.
Lions are unusually social compared to other cats. A pride of lions consists of related females and offspring and a small number of adult males.
Behind only the tiger, the lion is the second largest living cat in length and weight. Head rubbing – nuzzling one’s forehead, face and neck against another lion – appears to be a form of greeting.
Lions have beautiful golden eyes with black rims. Their manes make for creative shapes!
